Saxby Chambliss

As a young orphan growing up poor among the canals of Lilly City, Saxby Chambliss eked out a meager existence by picking the pockets of merchants and noblemen, which eventually escalated to burgling their wealthy homes and estates. By the age of 17, he had developed a reputation for taking on especially risky jobs. One such job would change his life. Approached by the city's watch-mage to steal the spellbook of a corrupt local official who could not be officially dealt with for political reasons, Saxby accepted. The job went off so smoothly that the impressed watch-mage, sensing Saxby's basically good nature and sharp native intellect, took the boy into his home and schooled him in the arcane arts, using the official's stolen book as the foundation for Saxby's education. Saxby was a quick study, although the watch-mage was never able to convince him to join the Academy, the boy preferring the idea of helping the helpless through a life of adventuring. Upon the passing of his mentor, Saxby left Lilly City to pursue his dream and has yet to stop moving.

Saxby is a man in his mid-30s, but smooth cheeks and the twinkle in his eyes make him appear younger. Olive skinned and wiry, he eschews a wizard's typical attire for the commoner's clothes he feels more comfortable in, although he favors more expensive vests and values high quality footwear. He wears his dark wavy hair short, with small silver earrings on both ears.
